From a street corner in Benin City to TTA Africa

By Owoh Rejoice · 2 October 2026

Every morning during my service year in Benin City, I passed children whose whole day was about finding their next meal. One question would not leave me alone: how will these children ever know that technology exists?

That question became The Tech Advantage, my NYSC Community Development Service project. Between November and December 2025, with fellow corps members, sponsors, government partners and a lot of determination, we reached 8,118 young people across primary schools, secondary schools, the streets of Ring Road and a grand finale at Idia College.

Every child left with a TTA card — a QR code that leads to free learning online.

What's new

Today, The Tech Advantage becomes TTA Africa Limited, and the card now opens ttaafrica.com — a learning platform built for young Africans:

  • Free, organised courses. We hand-pick the clearest free lessons on the internet — one great teacher for each topic — and organise them into step-by-step courses.
  • Learning that remembers you. Every time you tap, scan or visit, you go straight back to your next lesson.
  • Quizzes, practical tasks and certificates. Volunteer mentors review your work, and you earn a TTA Africa certificate when you finish a course.
  • Built for everyone. From a primary school pupil touching a computer for the first time to a graduate building a career.

Every video belongs to its creator. We embed it from their channel, credit them on every lesson, and encourage you to subscribe and support them.

Get started

If you have a TTA card, scan it. If you don't, just visit ttaafrica.com and create a free account. It takes less than a minute.

Because no child should be left behind in the ever-moving world of technology.
