About this course
Do you love playing games? Then it's time to make your own! In this course you'll learn how games are made and how to think like a game designer (with Game Maker's Toolkit), build a platformer step by step in Scratch with griffpatch, make games with no code at all in GDevelop, draw pixel art and create sound effects with free tools, and share your game on itch.io so friends and family can play. You'll also meet African game studios like Kiro'o Games (Cameroon) and Leti Arts (Ghana), and learn about careers in games. Everything is free and works in a web browser. Your final project is your own finished game. About 3 hours of video, plus lots of creating.
