About this course

School of Hard Knocks, started by James “Jack” Dumoulin as a teenager, stops successful people on the street and asks them how they got rich, what they'd do differently, and what advice they'd give a young person. Their videos have been watched hundreds of millions of times. This course turns the best of those interviews into a learning path: the patterns behind wealth (owning a business, sales, skills, property, patience), Africa's own builders including Aliko Dangote and Nigeria's billionaires, founders who started with almost nothing, how to sell, how the rich invest — and whether getting rich was even worth it. Each part ends with notes that separate the lessons from the luck. You finish by running your own street interviews with business owners in your community.
